Looking at the Free Agent list on ESPN, unrestricted: Sharp Shooters Francisco Garcia Kyle Korver Marco Belinelli Anthony Morrow Chauncey Billups Mike Dunleavy JJ Redick Kevin Martin Manu Ginobili Defensive Specialists Tony Allen Corey Brewer Anyone else you guys think would be a great fit? http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8589693/nba-free-agents-2013-2014
damn if billups got healthy...he would a perfect starting pg with beverley playing 25-30 min off the bench
He could play back up 2 guard, we are loaded at PG: - Jeremy Lin - Patrick Beverly - Aaron Brooks That might leave us really undersized in a lot of situations. Watching the Pacers, all their players are have size and athleticism. I'd like to not have to go small ball so much next season if possible.
Honestly, Garcia is probably the best 3 and D guy of the sharpshooter bunch. The rest of those guys either don't play D, aren't leaving their team, or play a position we're deep at.
Dunleavy! 57% FG, 44% 3-PT FG% in 4 postseason games against in the Heat. 43% 3-point shooter during the season. Very heady and good team player. A mature Parsons. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/mike_dunleavy/
I like him, I just don't know where we'd find minutes for him behind Parsons and Delfino. Maybe have him play back up power forward spot when we decide to go small. He may be a defensive liability, but he's a smart player.
Tony Allen & Kyle Korver top my list. Both one-way players but both good/great at what they do. Tony Allen Al-Farouq Aminu Leandro Barbosa Matt Barnes Jerryd Bayless(P) Marco Belinelli Chauncey Billups Keith Bogans Corey Brewer Ronnie Brewer Earl Clark Marquis Daniels Mike Dunleavy Monta Ellis Randy Foye Francisco Garcia Daniel Gibson Ben Gordon(P) Xavier Henry Andre Iguodala(ETO) Jarrett Jack James Jones(P) Dahntay Jones Kyle Korver Rashard Lewis(P) Shawn Marion(ETO) Kevin Martin Roger Mason O.J. Mayo Jodie Meeks(T) Anthony Morrow J.J. Redick Brandon Rush(P) Jerry Stackhouse Martell Webster Mo Williams Reggie Williams Metta World Peace(ETO) Dorrell Wright Nick Young
3s and D: Martell Webster Brandon Rush, if he opts out. D with less 3s: Matt Barnes Corey Brewer Sam Young
Dunleavy can handle the ball (just like Parsons), but chooses not to because he gives it up to the ball-hungry guards on the Bucks. Which is a good thing actually because he is a team player and seeks to make the right basketball play. He's also son of a coach who was quite a good PG in his own right. He can backup 2, 3, or 4 depending upon matchups. Much more reliable shooter than Delfino (sorry Delfino fans), and I like Delfino.
Brandon Rush has been out all last year with a torn ACL. I'm guessing he won't be opting out of his contract. Hello no to Matt Barnes.
Tony Allen currently makes $3M which is a bargain. What's his next contract? I'm guessing 4 years, $30M.
If I had $3-4M to spend, I'd take: 1. Tony Allen for his D and toughness 2. Garcia for his D on Durant primarily, his shooting helps 3. Anthony Morrow for his shooting
Tony Allen could do this while on the bench for us <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/vEso2kxveZ4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
