[AV Dork Question] Using an external hard drive...

    I recently upgraded my AV system (Mission speakers rule). One of the upgrades is a Pioneer upscaling dvd player with a USB drive. I have played music through this to my reciever using a flash drive with no problems. Does anybody know if an external hard drive would be recognized? Has anyone hooked a large external hard drive to a PS3?
