    It looks like a symbol to replace The, not a letter you can use in the middle of sentences. So, why would you add it to the alphabet?

    The alphabet is supposed to consist of the most basic sounds. "The" can be broken up into 3. "T", "H", and "E".

    Yeah, because "Double U," is basic (exception to the rule but I still had to point it out).

    On a side note, what would this symbol be called if it were a letter?

    He combined the T and h together. WTF pay me 38,000 to do that ****. I can do that in ten seconds in photoshop.
