Pass. I wouldn’t eat at a steakhouse if you paid for my dinner

If they were doing that, they'd be ratted out long ago.

Don't get the hate on Fertitta. I'm going to V&A tomorrow and I love that place.

Landry's did go to crap, though.

I'm just glad they're calling them "filet mignon sliders" and not "kobe sliders", like so many places straight up lie about, and dumbasses don't know.

Just for clarity, you will be eating the leftover mignon tails.

Just for clarity, they've been doing this for several years, and I'm not seeing any bad reviews like you kids keep doling out. And what the hell is a "mignon tail?"

how packed does this place get realistically? Will it be like an hour wait for a table?

Who wouldn't want to wait on 700 cheap drunks ordering 12 sliders each.

Easy night for the kitchen, though.

The posts in this thread have been pretty moronic. It is an accredited steakhouse essentially giving away filet mignon. If you choose not to participate, so be it. But don't make an idiotic comment about it. This was posted as a heads up.

I'm fully aware that the US is just ****ing wrong on letting us infringe on usage of other countries' "labels." If you call anything in Europe "Champagne" that is not actually from there, it is a jailable offense, and don't get me started on "kobe beef burgers." Never gonna happen.

But we are talking Morton's, which has always been considered a good steakhouse. If you're going to shelve out crap product, people like myself are going to leave not wanting to go there again.

Full disclosure: I've never been to Morton's, but I recall when I was working in Minneapolis a co-worker saying it was one of the best lunches he'd ever had. Mind you, this was 1999.

But I've looked around the net. If this was a **** product, people would let us know.

Gotcha, it's a pet peeve of mine when fancy restaurants intentionally mislabel their meat and seafood. It happens more than you would think.
