William Barr is extremely biased. He lobbied for the job and wrote a memorandum protecting the President before he was even in the administration.

The question is whether what he did is criminal.

On a more serious note, if you believe the President is above the law, should have unquestioned power with no Congressional check, then go for it. Just remember this next time there is a corrupt, law breaking immoral Democrat as POTUS.

 

If he's honestly doing this for the office of the presidency and not for Trump, he's still doing us a disservice if he insulates the executive branch from oversight by the legislative. So, it really doesn't make it any better in my view to cast this effort as some grander, nobler thing about how democracies should work because he's wrong about how they should work.

Barr and the admin’s excuse for protecting the presidency is nonsense. Bill Barr has always held authoritarian views of the presidency since he constructed the GOP cover up of Iran Contra. His views of our overall construct of government mean zero... zilch to me and should to anyone who really understands the entire premise our founders were trying to create a democracy under.

But that’s Barr...we know him and we know the Trump regime. The real question is for people like you. Why are you obviously okay with the president of the US being above the law? I see no threat to the presidency. I also see no reason to believe what Barr claims in this instance.
