Got no problem with this. I give the career guys the benefit of the doubt that they will operate according to the law, uphold the Constitution, and seek the public good. So if Durham does those things in this assignment, that'll be great.

 

They just finished a two year investigation that covered Trump and Mueller came up with bubkis.

But you are right that the DOJ needs to double down on investigating the abuse of executive power - by the Obama regime. And it appears like that may very well be what is now underway.

 

I'm sure politically it will go over really well trying to prosecute lifetime FBI high level guys for things like MAYBE leaking to the press. I'm sure the jury in DC will really be swayed by that evidence.

These type of politically charged "investigations" are best served for the Republican House with hacks like Jim Jordan. If this is a serious investigation with a serious DOJ prosecutor leading it, you aren't going to see "but her emails" hearnings where its a public blasting meant for drama more than true justice.

This is a criminal prosecutor. Mick, Commodore, etc.... you REALLY want to try and prosecute Jim Baker, Andy McCabe, etc?? Is that REALLY what you want? Go for it. Have at it.

This isn't Paul Manafort, or Michael Cohen we are talking about... and they don't lie to the FBI like Trumpers do, and they sure as hell aren't pleaded guilty for easily provable crimes.

Lets be honest though... this is really only about digging up dirt during discovery so they can find some text messages, or something they can use to spin some conspiracy theory.

It would seem based on what he Mueller Report found, there was great reason to investigate Trump.

When Russia came knocking, the Trump campaign said “what do you have for me”.

The two year investigation was about a foreign power interfering in our election and came up with 34 people charged and 3 companies. It was one of the most successful investigations in recent history.

It's actually not though. This is an actual prosecutor. Not hacks on the Republican House Judiciary. We are now talking about actually trying to prosecute and try in a court of law.... guys like Jim Baker, and James Comey.

Yeah.. this is different, and will backfire big time if the orders come down to press charges for highly questionable charges. I think those FBI guys fight back hard on this one if an indictment comes their way. There are no taxi cab medallions, and p*rn star payoff tapes in Comey & Bakers offices to find in a raid. These guys are freaking boy scouts. This will look horrible on DOJ and ultimately Trump. Very very Authoritarian looking if you do this in the US judicial system. You are better off politically with just a public hanging.

 

Another investigation meant not for fact finding but trying to create a narrative.

This investigation will give Trump, the Leaker In Chief, a vehicle to spew "anonymous" crap into the MSM, that benefits Trump.

I fully expect that no charges will ever be brought and the investigation will end a week after the 2020 election.
