Morey's going to need a quadruple-team of barbers to end his beard streak...one for his face and each chin.

Harden chose to end his scoring streak. He passed up about 4 plays within the last two minutes to take shots. I think he just wanted to get it over with so he could focus 100% on winning again.

Eh, he could have shot that if he wanted to. It seemed he was ok with the streak ending.

    Don't distort this.

That was the final seconds of the game, there was no need to score, and everyone was just running out the clock. Harden didn't bring the ball up the court with intent to score, and the defenders didn't surround him with intent to seriously stop him from scoring. Everyone just kind of gathered at mid court awkwardly waiting for the clock to run out as often happens at the ends of games. Harden chose not to attempt to score. The Hawks played a hard-fought game and didn't do anything uncouth at the end.

    ---

Now, contrast this with the Warriors playing the Rockets on 2013-02-05, Harden's first season in Houston. The Rockets destroyed them, but specifically, they made 23 three-pointers in that game, tying the then-current all-time record by a team in one game. Everyone was on fire, so with a couple minutes left, there was a pretty damn good chance someone from the Rockets was going to nail a record-setting 24th three. The Warriors intentionally hard-fouled our guys for the rest of the game to prevent them getting any more threes off as they were attempting to shoot. It was a disgusting display of childish pettiness, and I've hated that team from that very day.

    ---

Leave the Hawks alone, and go reinvest that hate into the Warriors.

Eh, you're damned if you do damned if you don't. From what I saw the Wizards were roasted pretty badly (not here, of course) for letting us get those 26 threes in our game against them back in December.

It wasn't like they were just touch fouling on the court. They were flagrantly fouling guys in the act of shooting (no flagrant calls, though) which could have led to injuries. And just for the sake of not being on the receiving end of that record. It was shitty behavior.
