Ok, we're about halfway through the 2003-2004 season, so the question I have is: At this point, who would you give the following awards to? MVP Rookie of The Year Most Improved Player of the Year Coach of the Year 6th Man of the Year Defensive Player of the Year Sportsmanship Award I would go with: *MVP- Kevin Garnett *ROTY- LeBron James *Most Improved Player- Andrei Kirilenko *Coach of the Year- Jerry Sloan *6th Man of the Year- Maurice Taylor *Defensive Player of the Year- Ron Artest *Sportsmanship Award- Yao Ming (even though I wish he DIDN'T deserve it! )
MVP - Tracy McGrady Rookie of The Year - Darko Most Improved Player of the Year - Caron Butler Coach of the Year - Frank Johnson 6th Man of the Year - Anfernee Hardaway Defensive Player of the Year - Steve Nash Sportsmanship Award - Eddie Griffin
MVP - Kevin Garnett Rookie of The Year - Lebron James Most Improved Player of the Year - Andre Kirilenko(Good last year, but I would now consider him an all-star caliber player) Coach of the Year - Jerry Sloan, without a doubt 6th Man of the Year - Mo Taylor Defensive Player of the Year - Kevin Garnett Sportsmanship Award - ???
MVP - Tim Duncan (because w/ out TD that team is crap) without KG they still have a good team. Rookie of The Year - Carmelo Anthony (because Lebrons team still sucks and CA will take his team into the playoffs) Most Improved Player of the Year - Zach Randolph (He should be considered an All-Star only bright spot for that organization) Coach of the Year - Jerry Sloan ! 6th Man of the Year - Mo Taylor (has to be) Defensive Player of the Year - Ben Wallace or AK (both are leading the league in so many defensive categories) Sportsmanship Award - I dont know. how do you figure this out?\ J
MVP: I suppose it will go to Duncan again. Rookie of The Year: Carmello Anthony- what he has done with Denver is remarkable. The Cavs are still awful, and they're in the East. James does not deserve to be recognized for allowing his team to be so awful Most Improved Player of the Year: Kelvin Cato Coach of the Year: Van Gundy- he has the Rockets playing defense. That's an amazing achievement. 6th Man of the Year: I think I'll go with the popular pick. Mo Taylor Defensive Player of the Year: Gary Payton Sportsmanship Award: Yao Ming (sometimes he too much of a sportsman)
MVP - Kevin Garnett Rookie of The Year - Lebron James Most Improved Player of the Year - Erick Dampier Coach of the Year - Terry Porter 6th Man of the Year - Antawn Jamison Defensive Player of the Year - Ben Wallace
MVP- Timmy D ROY- LeBron MIP- Michael Redd Coach- Terry Porter (anyone?) 6th Man- Antawn Jamison DPOY- AK-47
MVP - Kevin Garnett Rookie of The Year - Lebron James Most Improved Player of the Year - Michael Redd Coach of the Year - Jerry Sloan and Hubie Brown 6th Man of the Year - Antawn Jamison Defensive Player of the Year - Ron Artest Sportsmanship Award - Sadly, I have no idea.
MVP - Jermaine O'neal (The Wolves are rockin' because of Sam I am Cassell) ROY - LeBron (If he and Carmelo switched teams, the Nuggets would be even better) MIP - Dampier, Redd, AK-47, and Randolf are doing the same things they've done last year, with just more playing time. Well, AK-47 has developed more game than the other 3, so I guess AK-47 for now. Coach of the Year - Adelman. That Kings offense is a thing of beauty sans Webber, Bibby, or whoever. Why they hell is Brad Miller racking tripple doubles? That should count for something towards the coaching. As a long time true Rockets fan, I cannot vote for Jerry Sloan. Sloan and Oystertag are the remaining foggies from the old evil Jazz team. 6th Man - Antawn Jamison (For those of you who say Mo, let me ask you this: disregarding salary, would you want Antawn or Mo. And even though Mo has been unstoppable in the post lately, Antawn finishes better, and most importantly rebounds better. Defensive player of the year - tie between Artest and Wallace Sportmanship Award - Zo, but sadly I don't know much about this either.
MVP: KG MIP: AK-47 COY: Hubie Brown 6th Man: Jamison(better stats than Mo across the board) DPOY: Entire Rockets team j/k.. I cant believe nobody said AK-47 for this as well.. the guy is a blocks and steals machine. Sportsman of the year: Rasheed Wallace
