This series should be like buttah...

    Oswalt, Miller, Robertson...

This is a great tune-up for Cards this weekend, and I'm glad the big "O" will finally get to pitch this coming Sunday...

    Stros' sweep

    game 1: Stros' 7, Reds 2

    game 2: Stros' 5, Reds 4

    game 3: Stros' 10, Reds 8

    Anyone going to the game...

As poorly as the Reds pitching has done so far this season, I hope we can get our bats rocking again. It will be interesting to see how Roy pitches on 6 days rest.

Hooray! Astros get a sticky thread!

My predictions: Austin Kearns will go off on us at HR-a-Minute-Maid Park (he's on my fantasy team :) ). We'll win 2 out of 3. Oswalt will be superb. Miller gets win #1. Robertson fares better than last outing, but bullpen blows it for us.

Astros will win first two but Robertson will be rocked and will leave the game after 3 innings

Just a note to everyone posting in here.

I asked that this be made a sticky so that we could use this forum similar to the GARM forum. I would like to have a single thread for discussing each Astros series, Texans game and Comets game. I have really enjoyed some of the discussions that have been going on as of late.Hopefully this will keep some of the clutter of multiple game threads down and make it easier for everyone to navigate through this forum.

I will cheer for Adam Dunn for his Chris Simms sucks comment last week. Everyone knows it. He had the balls in his position to say it. Go DUNN!!

I have tickets for the third game of the series (Thursday night), wish I could head out to see Roy pitch tonight... but my schedule is packed with a Rockets Game and 24.

Oswalt owns the Reds (7-0 Career 1.5ish ERA), and the Astros bats have killed Dempster in the past so tonight shouldn't be close. The Stros should easily sweep the Reds and get us nice and warmed up for the Red Birds this weekend.

The bats have been hot with the exception of Berkman and Lugo, but we all know Berkman will come around... let's just hope Ausmus keeps up his current numbers ;-)

Yeah, cause no one's ever said Chris Simms sucks.

I'm now officially an Adam Dunn hater...what a classless jackass.

Whoa there, what'd Dunn do? Checked ESPN, MSNBC, and Jerk of the Week and can't find anything...

I like this idea... one thread per series is plenty. As far as this series. I think that the Astros should be thinking sweep for sure. Oswalt will be money and so will Miller. As for Robertson, since I didn't see him last time, I can't say if I think he'll fare better... but he could be that much worse could he?

    Dunn said Chris Simms sucked?

    Did he really say that?

    Ah man...

As for the series 2 out of 3.....and hope for a sweep.

Maybe Dunn should have kept his mouth shut, for PC reasons, but he wasn't lying when he said Simms sucked.

Nonetheless, it wasn't like Dunn lit the world on fire when he was redshirting as a UT QB.

What's funny is that Dunn's sentiments might be echoed by UT players who played for UT during the Simms/Major controversy.

    Simms didn't suck.

If you think he did - you're a moron.

Technically he didn't say Chris Simms "sucked", but you can infer it when he says Dan LeBatard would make a better QB. C'mon Dan LeBatard?!?
