It wouldn't surprise me at all. They are talking up how they aren't going to do much and how they are going to slash the payroll...it wouldn't shock me if they run counter of what they say. Consider that they can possibly back load the contract, keeping in mind that Carlos Lee goes away soon. Saying that, though, I do not see them signing Cliff Lee.
