Former MLB outfielder Quinton McCracken originally joined the Astros in 2012. He served as director of player personnel in 2015 and director of player development in 2016.

Eve Rosenbaum was listed as a coordinator of the Astros' international operations. Armando Velasco was assistant director of Player Development.

Charles Cook was a Baseball Ops coordinator. Matt Hogan was the team's coordinator of Major League Advance Information; I assume he was in charge of the advance scouts.

Brendan Fournie was the other Baseball Ops coordinator.

    More on Goldstein's new roles:

I have been waiting on the McCracken move.

There was little doubt he either would be hired by another club and/or the Astros would let him go.

McCracken wants to be a GM.

You can tell by the Astros promotions the last two years the direction they are going.

The big news is how quick Eve is moving up. Not easy for a woman in major league baseball.
