Start on the road for 7 and finish on the road for 6? That's kind of s**tty. Also shorted a day off for the ASB.
Yuck, opening in TB. Why does MLB finalize and release schedules so early? A defending champion should always open at home but now for the 2nd year in a row the Astros won't be able to have their ring ceremony on MLB's opening day.
With all the legitimate complaints about the cold weather early this season, of course MLB schedules 2 indoor, southern teams for the opening series.
I know where I'll be spending 03/29 - 03/31 considering I will be living about 10 miles from the Rays' stadium. (I'll let them have their huge opening day crowd. I'll go when there are 10,000 people)
Here is a list of where the Astros will be each weekend on the road for those of us interested in following the team on a trip: Mariners Rangers (x2 series) Angels (Monterrey, Mexico) Red Sox A's (x2) Yankees Cardinals Orioles Blue Jays Royals Angels (LA)
Damn that schedule looks pretty hard early.... Lots of BOS, NYY and CLE in addition to a tough division SEA & OAK.. tough NL match ups... CHI, STL, COL and MIL... not easy at all.
But don't forget about the 2018 season. Astros bring back their popular pass. You don't need any money ball expertise to see it's a good deal. 6 games for $39 that's like .10 cents per game! =) https://www.mlb.com/astros/tickets/specials/ballpark-pass?partnerId=ed-13036949-1091670683 didn't know where to put this.
