Dam, not sure if I missed something major. I have yet to read a source discrediting Omer's effort of wanting to play.

2 to 3 weeks of missed games were due Morey wanting Asik to stay health for the first trade deadline. 1 to 2 games were missed due to a stomach flu and 2 weeks after the deadline was due to knee injury.

Asik has always had a problem with his knee. Last year we were very fortunate with our health across the board. I personally don't think Asik would pout and not want to play. If he says he is injured he is injured. Asik doesn't really talk and when he is asked he goes straight to the point.

He is hurt. He wants to be a starter. He is willing to start for another team.

 

Is there anybody alive who doesn't have some knee pain?

Royce White territory as far as I'm concerned. Except he was crazy from the jump, at least Asik acted like a man for one whole calender. Now Asik acts like he was on his way to the HOF, like Dwight isn't completely outplaying him.

This more or less makes it clear that he's not truly injured. So far absolutely no details from the Rockets nor Asik. There's no timetable. There's no talk of too much pain and inability to move or anything like that. Just that "there's something wrong and it will better in the future but not sure when."

I think there really is something wrong with his knee -- if I recall, I read something about fluid in his knee and that it had to be drained a few times.
