And it's only going to be positive for the team if he decides to do so.

I agree that he can be as good as Dwight at times, but it doesn't matter because he is not getting court time. It really is a hopeless situation for Asik.

The point is, Asik doesn't seem to know.

He's similar on defense and in rebounding but he will never, ever draw doubles in the post or be a fraction of what Dwight is offensively. He could compete for minutes but he'd never win them.

I like him but he's gone.

I don't think so. Dwight just had a bad scoring game. Everything else was fine.

You know, I was just thinking that today before the game. Asik is not far off at all from Dwight, just with a different style.

Dwight does look rather diminished. I hope he gets stronger as the season goes but so far he doesn't look like a superstar, just an upgrade at C.

If you really believe Asik and Howard are similar, then either you don't actually watch games, or started watching games this year.

Dwight Howard draws defenders to me on offense. He pulls away opposing big men who must always account for him. Dwight Howard is a huge reason why you see the Rockets making all those layups. The Rockets are shooting 54% this year from 2pt range. They were 51% last year. This despite all those minutes where Asik/Howard shared the floor and we couldn't muster any type of inside game.

I think he looks like a superstar but only at the defensive side.

As dumb as this thread is why does it matter if it's on a new or old one.
