It would've been hilarious if Melo had picked the Lakers, and then the Rockets turned around and traded Lin there. Talk about awkward......

As long as Bosh ends up here, I'm fine with it, but you're right. That would be a cherry on top of one of the craziness free agent periods I can remember. Total lunacy!

If they retain Butler and Wade is in the Manu role. That's an elite team. They'll probably have to relocate to the western conference. But I don't think that's so practical. Unless everyone is taking paycuts.

The Knicks would be much better off just starting over. Where exactly did Melo take them last season?

Yup... Anthony still out there. Then we don't match Parsons and use that money to grab a PF....sounds like a plan.

The plan with Melo is to play him at the 4 and Parsons at the 3.

    Sure, why not?

Worst thing he can say is no...like every other free agent thus far.

Like Bosh, he'll probably take the money.

How much can we give him if we dont match Parsons? How much cap would we have left?

If Melo doesn't go for the money in NY, Houston IS HIS BEST OPTION.

We are better than Chicago with Melo/Howard/Parsons/Harden/Bev.

He most likely does like Bosh and takes that $$MONEY$$, and like Dwight said, you can't ask a man to turn down that much money.

But if he decides that Championships are more important to him, HOUSTON IS THE ANSWER!

Unlike Bosh who has 2 RINGS, MELO has 0 RINGS.

Always has been. Wonder if there is anyway to rekindle the interest. Unfortunately seems extremely unlikely at this point considering how "late" into free agency period we are at this point.

Thing is...if we thought Melo was as serious then why would we go so hard after Bosh?

Will be awkward going after him now. I mean it's like we asked out the pretty girl to the dance...she said no so we found another girl who we really started to warm to who says no at the last minute and now we are going back to the girl we first asked out...who may have already said no.

Seems unlikely. Not sure why he hasn't made his decision yet though.

Until he commits, anything is possible. We recruited him the hardest. We are still the best fit, even though the media says we are not in it.

I still think he goes to NY for the money, but if he chooses Chicago over us, then I will really believe that there is something about Houston that other FAs don't like that makes them not want to play here.

If he chooses NY, it's not about us, it's about that $$$$$.

Worth a desperation call I guess. Maybe he's changed his mind in the two freaking weeks he's been deciding, smh.
