This is the area in which I think Russ helps us the most. CP3 is one of the best players in history at running an offense. He’s an efficient engine, but Russ (much like Harden) is a whole damn car. What this means is they don’t “run the offense”, they ARE the offense. Russ and some great role players has already proven to be a playoff team. Same for Harden. They can both carry teams on their own, which means in the regular season, each can take full games off against weaker opponents, and let the other do their thing. Asking Paul to manage that heavy of a load at this point in his career just isn’t possible imo, without having disastrous long term effects. In fact, Harden often had extra on him as Paul needed more and more rest. I’m oddly excited to see how they choose to manage this.

 

Best way to load manage and still get the #1 seed to set yourself up for the playoffs......is make sure the roster has PROPER DEPTH.
