Are we sure Tyrod Taylor isn't the best (potential) option?

There's not much difference between Tebow, Kap, and Taylor, they are all RB's pretending to be QB's. Perhaps you don't realize that when you are bringing up scrubs like that you are essentially making an argument for Tebow, but that's really what you are doing......and you should stop.

Go on with that nonsense with all of these QB's that you say are running back whom would you suggest the Texans do to help this team win.

You're better off finding the nearest wall and arguing with it about the Texans' QB situation; I promise it'll be a far more engaging discussion.

I would if they were to do their homework right.

I'm sure the Cowboys thought drafting a QB last season wouldn't help much either.
There are times when you just have to go for it. This is one of those times.

I already told you....I know that you have your heels dug in that the Texans need to go out and waste money on yet another terrible QB, but you'll just have to accept that it's not going to happen.

The Cowboys went as far as their O line and running game could carry them.....which was to exactly 0 playoff wins.

Even with homework being done still doesn't mean they will make the right pick.

.....and you aren't suggesting a "good choice for the team at QB" you are suggesting they essentially go with Tim Tebow, you just don't realize that's what you are saying.

Only in Bobby's world does Tyrod Taylor = Tim Tebow........

    48%; 361 att; 2,422 yards (6.7 YPA); 17/9; 75.3 QB rating
    62%; 851 att; 6,257 yards (7.4 YPA); 37/14; 92.3 QB rating

SMH, the fact that people are still trying to defend Tyrod Taylor just shows that this is clearly a basketball blog and while some people may know their basketball they pretty clearly don't know football. When it comes to intelligent football fans when the idea of picking up Tyrod Taylor comes up you laugh a little bit at the idea and move on with life.

In fact, that's what I'm going to do now. Feel free to keep up the ridiculous conversation though.

I love the moral superiority coming from a guy who deems the forum sooooo far beneath him, he can only be bothered to post in it 25-30 times a day. Seriously, I've been an active member of this BBS for 17 years and you have 3 times as many posts in 13 fewer years.

    But, yeah... we're the losers...

BTW, no one is defending Tyrod Taylor; you've once again grabbed the largest brush possible and then assailed your superiority in an area where few are actually congregating, if any. It's a flaccid internet troll tactic.

In a vacuum, no one *wants* Tyrod Taylor; there's nothing appreciably special about him and the chances, at 27, that he'll make a leap to the upper echelon of NFL QBs is, at best, remote. BUT... this isn't a vacuum - the Texans have backed themselves into an urgent need at QB, and Tyrod Taylor is better than Brock Osweiler - *any* version of Brock Osweiler. And the chances he'll make a leap to the upper echelon of NFL QBs is much greater than Osweiler's. Also, he's better than Tim ****ing Tebow by such a wide margin that your arguing otherwise undermines whatever credibility you might have.

Context matters. We're not building a team from scratch; we're making due with the cards that've been dealt. How does a 9-win team get better at the game's most important position with limited resources...

It's not my fault that you so rarely have anything worthwhile to say.....I also have 3 times as many "likes" as you do in 13 fewer years.

Anyway, like I said, only an idiot would think that bringing in Tyrod Taylor would be a good idea so I'm not saying that I'm morally superior to anyone, but I am pretty clearly intellectually superior to anyone who would support giving Tyrod Taylor a contract. It's okay if you don't want to accept that, but it won't really make a difference one way or the other.

It would be nice if we could have some intelligent football conversation, but instead we get moronic threads about awful QB's that have zero chance of ever playing for this team. Let's be better moving forward and the first step is letting this thread die.

    Awesome; when's your party?

Again, you don't seem to understand the concept of context... Bringing in Tyrod Taylor may or may not ultimately be a good idea - but it's a better idea than seeing if Brock Osweiler's first 23 NFL starts - which were collectively far worse that Taylor's - were a fluke.

Stating Taylor has zero chance of playing for the team is at least a viable counter; comparing him to Tim Tebow is not.

The Texans have stated they want better QB play; the number of options to find it are limited. If Taylor is let go, he'd be the second-best QB available (behind Romo) and he's better than Brock Osweiler - that would absolutely place him on a very short list of viable candidates.

Let me get this straight: You now believe that it's a winning strategy to sign Buffalo's castoffs? Sorry but I have to side with BTG on this one. This whole idea reeks of panic and desperation. If you truly believe that bringing in another failed QB is the answer then why not go whole hog and bring in Johnny Manzel? After all: Go bad or go home...
