Are there bigger waste of money signings this offseason than Fail Jackson, Dreck Fisher and Melo?

    not sure if serious.

any coach that can manage Kobe and MJ's attitudes..and win that many rings..I think is a good coach.

I know the triangle pretty well and after watching, I'm convinced the roster is too stupid to run it

Basic setup = strongside entry pass to the wing and then the guard fills the corner to create the triangle. This is all Fisher did on the Lakers - pass to MWP run to the corner.

First 2 minutes of the video is basically the guards killing the offense by forgetting to fill the corner

    Thoughts after seeing them tonight?

I wonder what a Phil Jackson - Jeanie Buss date night is like nowadays.

Haha. I wouldn't be surprised if they traded JR Smith because he was the only one smart enough to start tuning this guy out.

He will be ousted as a head couch within three years.

I think it's great they are blowing up the team. Change is needed. To start from scratch is a brave move by PJ in NY's basketball culture.

No team will win a ring if melo is on it. I never wanted him to come to houston. He might ball out on the blacktop but I think he is a cancer for team play

Well duh. PJ, it was up to you the minute you signed. Not just now.

And he's worried the Knicks sorriness this season will affect how attractive they are as a free agent destination this summer.

Players who care only about the money will be glad to accept whatever the Knicks pay them. Guys that want to win need not apply.

This is such crap. Money and Branding are the only thing Melo is interested in and he proved that when he turned down the Bulls & Rockets last off-season to stay with the not-going-anywhere-anytime-soon bricks.

    smh

It's a broken record when it comes to your quote.

It seemed like Donnie Walsh was righting that ship until two years later when he loaded up on bloated whales and deadbeats.

If I were to give Walsh benefit as being competent, it would seem like Dolan's patience is only two years and he's a little kid who desperately wants a big bang move as payoff for the cap shedding and rebuilding pain.

Being in Dolan's ear is more important that getting results....

Man if there was ever a time for the NBA to expel an owner, it would be Dolan. I actually feel bad for the Knicks. A historic franchise that should be a staple of the NBA yet they are a laughing stock.

It's also the venus fly trap of the NBA. Star players go there thinking they will get riches and fame only to be broken down husks of what they used to be. I can't remember the last time a big signing has gone well for them.

This idea of forcing the triangle on the organization is odd to me as well. It's not really done in basketball? If it were football it would make sense. Drafting a player for a system. I mean if you were running some kind of spread offense then you'd be more interested in WRs and receiving backs...but the idea that they are going to draft a player to fit a system is I think a first for me.

Usually you have a top 5 pick you take the best player and be done with it. If the best player is a Steve Nash clone you say alright cool and let him run his fast paced offense and play to his strengths and build the team around that.
