Are the Rockets too good that games are boring now?

These games excite me. Between all the 3s being jacked up and the win streak I've never been so excited about December basketball. This is some really good stuff and you can see them come into themselves as an unselfish team.

 

Had a great time today Rockets setting some NBA records today. Amazing basketball.

 

When the game gets boring they needa sit the starters and play Harrell, Dekker, Wiljter, KJ, Ennis.

 

and last year the Rox struggled against lower level teams...it's like night and day watching the Rox this season versus last

 

Coaching and shooting matter. D'antoni > Bickerstaff by a million times over and Gordon is a legit 2nd scorer. Anderson keeps the floor spaced while the Beard slices and diced everyone up. Great Stuff.

I used to feel this way about the Texans, as the games from 2008-2010 games gave me heart palpitations seemingly every week. But from after that pass-happy period until now I almost fall asleep most Texans Sundays. Even when we win it's just so damn boring, and the stakes never feel as high as they used to. But for the Rockets I enjoy it, I just want us to be really good and playing close games against bad teams is not a sign of a good team. Entertaining playoff games >>>> entertaining regular season games. And I find just as much entertainment watching us beat the hell out of a team as I do grinding out a win honestly.

I enjoyed the closeness of every single game when the Rockets were over-achieving underdogs with Lowry, Scola, Hayes, K-Mart, Battier, etc. But for a team as talented as the Rocket's the past couple of years, playing close games against lower competition leads to bad losses and bad vibes, which can really **** with the chemistry and morale of a team.

 

OT I know, but anyone got a link for rockets games we can download?

 

Think there is the possibility that the 3 point line is taken away. We are changing basketball. In 10 years the game itself might be too boring with the next generation taking all 3's.

 

Guys don't take OP too seriously, he's the the type of fan that can complain, b**** and moan about anything, we are freaking winning!!!! Jeez we are on a 9 game winning streak and here I see that there's this thread complaining about how we are beating our weak opponents easily and blowing them out? Don't take good things for granted, I rather we dominated every team soundly than keeping it close. Do u want Rockets to downplay to their opponents and lose so you can b**** some more?
I do agree that the post game disappearing in this new modern 3point happy league might be a bummer, but to complain about our team blowing other teams out is just disgusting.

OP probably enjoys watching the Texans play every week, keep games pretty close with all those interceptions, edge on the seat huh.

 

Nah, they will just move the line back a few feet. It would also help if they got rid of the stupid hand checking rules and defensive 3 second rule. Then we might actually see more physical game being played and the center position may just make a return to prominence.

Not satisfied with blown outs? No problem. You want an ugly one. You got one. Almost got blown out and down by double digits with 2 min. Most die hard posters here had already quit and yet we won. Yes, you asked for it, you got it. 50 shades of winning= a contender in the making

 

Yes yes this is the type of games that keep me on the edge of my seats instead of lluling to sleep with the huge blowouts.
