and is planning to request a trade this summer. I guess this rumor is getting lost in the din of the playoffs. He's supposedly come to the conclusion that he can't win in Minny. This could conceivable set up a 3-way trade with the Pels involving AD to a third team. Or if not...a pile of picks and a nice young player under contract long term would make sense.
. . .and people call capela soft . . . .. . . Towns is better offense but Capela is better defensively Rocket River
Never liked Towns. He's a major reason why the TWolves haven't won ****. Not only is he an atrocious defender, he's one of the softest players in the league.
Lol. What a b****. He wins the power struggle between him Butler and thibs and now he wants out? Snowflake.
True, but KAT has skills that Capela will dream of having. There's still a ton of potential there. I think unless you win the championship this year (If you do then you don't shake up the team obviously) this is a trade I'd do all day. Especially since the Rockets have a long history of training up Big men. People thought Yao was soft when he got here too. KAT will play better under us and Harden has never had a more talented big to PNR with. I think we'd be unstoppable.
If this is true, the league has a massive problem on its hands. KAT signed a super-max extension that pays him $27M starting this season and now he wants out? Players have figured out that all they need to do is play through their rookie extensions, get paid and then demand a trade. But Minnesota still has leverage because he is signed through 2023-24l; let him be pissed, he's the one who signed a deal. The issue is that the one piece of leverage that smaller teams have to keep their star players - the super max - is being abused by players. The New York and Los Angeles teams can't sign everyone, so I don't know what the end game is for all of these unhappy stars.
