I didn't see it. Wast it any good? All I know is Stevie, Cat and Yao were playing.

that was the game that abc tried to make karla malone look like a warrior because he wore a torn jersey after under cutting boki on a ridiculously dangerous play that could have really hurt boki.

instead of pointing out what a dick move that was but karla they praised him wanting to go out their with a torn jersey.

the game went into ot and Cat and Yao were killing the lakers off the pick and roll, karla strikes again with a charge on the baseline that was called a block that fouled yao out of the game.

Not only do I remember the game (I was there), but I even remember that my dad and I ate at Golden Island buffet afterward and I couldn't stop b****ing about how much of a loser Karl Malone was/is.

Yeah, Boki became instant hero. Malone made a sneaky dirty play that could have seriously injured Boki. And they made Malone a warrior.

Then Boki proceeded to stuff the hell out of his shot.

That series was a great series. Rockets could easily have been up 3-1

I still feel that if "The Trade" hadn't been made, that we would have seen a completely different Stevie the next year :(

Was that the series that we lost an early game, because Kobe airballed, giving shaq an easy dunk?

Well, he did get kind of blindsided with that whole trade thing dontcha think.

And he actually played pretty well in Orlando until the Cat/Doug Christie trade happened.

thats why malone has 0 championships.

    along with:
    John Stockton
    Charles Barkley
    Patrick Ewing
    Reggie Miller
    Chris Webber

    Allen Iverson
    Steve Nash

    ....who else?

thats a lot of good players.

duncan, jordan, shaq, and hakeem pretty much soaked up the last 20 years of championships.

actually i just counted 16 of the last 20 years has involved one of those 4 players.

You can't just lump in all the stars who had no championships. You especially can't lump in stockton and malone, two sworn enemies, with Ewing who used to be an assistant coach here, or Barkley who played his heart out for us for 4 seasons. He's a mess now, but you can't hate on a guy who retired a rocket.

Webber, and Adelman at that, would have a championship if not for a ref job Stern pulled on them.

Robinson's reaction in that pic pretty much defines his whole career.
