I paused the video at the time. It's of the Astros celebrating after Marwin's 9th inning home run

    Edit: Typo in title

Man, I forgot most of that roller coaster that was game 2, because of the mega coaster of game 5. Holy ****, that series was soooooo good.

Which is why I still have all 7 games on my DVR....there really wasn’t a bad game and the great games were insane heart palpitation games and of course the series had the best ending

It would have been the best series of my lifetime (I’m a man, I’m 40) if it wasn’t for the fact that, objectively, Game 7 was pretty shitty (as a fan of baseball not as a fan of the Astros). That probably puts it behind Twins v Braves and maybe Cleveland v Florida?

ETA- forgot about Cleveland v Chicago in 2016. That’s probably definitely ahead of 2017. 1986 Mets v Red Sox was amazing.
Gun to my head I’d go:

    1991
    2016
    2017
    1986
    1997

The sole reason I’d out 91 and 16 higher is bc they had epic game 7’s.
Of course, as an Astros fan, 2017 will always be the greatest and nothing could ever surpass that series

Game 5 of 2017 was arguably the best WS game ever played. It’s certainly in the top 5. Yea it’s not a game 7 but that one was an off the charts rollercoaster. Now I’ll agree game 7 was a flame out on the LA side but I’ll take it. It was nice to coast for once although a Houston sports fan of 49 years I was nervous until the last out

I actually thought game 2 was better than game 5 (they were both amazing) bc game 2 actually had great pitching, timely hitting, and amazing back and forth. Game 5 was an amazing spectacle, but the pitching was shitty. I like well pitched games. But yeah I’d put both game 2 and game 5 in top 10 or 15 World Series games I’ve eve seen. Game 7 of 1991 was the best ever world series game in my opinion, with the fact that it was a double elimination game giving it a bit of an edge over game 2 and 5 of 17

My dad was counting outs in game 7. I wanted to slap him.

Can one really make that statement when a Josh Fields and a Kenneth Robert Giles are in the box score?

I meant for the first 7 or 8 innings before everything went gonzo.

Yeah. Poor Indians BTW. Would have rather they won it than the Cubs (bitter NLC memories). Cleveland, along with Atlanta, are the only two cities that rival us in terms of sports torture.

I actually think Game 7 was exciting. Dodgers had tons of opportunities to make some noise and rally, but they left a ton of baserunners on throughout the game.

Lost a friend that night. He has always been a Red Sox fan and talked crap about the Astros. He jumps on the bandwagon after Houston beats Boston. By Game 2 when the Astros are down in the game 1-3 he's off the bandwagon and saying they're going to get swept. Game ends, and I'm several drinks in so I text him Astros win, f*ck you and kiss my a** then block him number. I wasn't going to let him ruin the rest of the series for me with his trash talking texts. Haven't spoken since.

2001 Yankees vs. D-Backs was a damn good series too, and was my favorite up until 2017 of course. 1991 Braves vs. Twins, and 1997 Indians vs. Marlins are the other other kick ass World Series I watched in my lifetime.

I'd love to have it, I worked the 3 home games and went to the watch party for 7,but I'd love to relive games 2,3,5 and 7 again a few times a year.

Agreed with all these. Check out '85, '86 and '87 if you can.

    Cubs/Indians also.
