Any restaurants in Houston like Pappadeaux, but cheaper?

I used to bartend at Razzoo's and over the two years that I worked there I would say that most of their food is GREAT!

Not too high priced and still with the cajun kick!

    Def. my vote!!

Cajun town was started by one of Pappadeaux's head chef's years ago.

The food is great and the prices are much better than other places.

Prices are pretty reasonable, and the menu looks to have a pretty good selection. I'm definately going to try and check this one out.

Razzoo's is near where I live in Sugarland, never been. I heard bad things about it, but that was years ago. Think I should drop by...the reviews are pretty good.

This. Splitting a platter is a pretty good value.

    BAYOU CITY . . . ON RICHMOND @ 610

Quite possibly the best in the city.

Looks like their prices are HALF of Pappadeaux. I think I read about them in Texas Monthly. I'm gonna have to try 'em.

We go to Goode's and order 1 Campanchana Del Mar (seafood cocktail on Tortillas) 1 Stuffed Shrimp (or any platter) and 1 Pecan Pie. That works for two.

But damn man, the average Mexican platter is $8.95 these days. And get ready for a round of inflation to hit in the next 12 months when all the stimulus money gets in the system.

I saw a billboard on the SW freeway for a new Mexican Seafood restaurant opening. Anybody been. I love fish in red sauce and fish tacos.

Boudreaux's is good, but they seem to be almost as expensive as Pappadeaux with no bread and no sit down service.

The Crazy Cajun on Tidwell & 290 is pretty good. Lunch specials are in the $6.99 range and the food is good.

I went there several years ago and the food was so bad I'll never go back at my own expense.

Razoo's is great, but may be around the same price. Maybe even more.

Grand Lux Cafe. Not a "seafood" place by trade, but they've got some good stuff there for respectable prices.
