Okay, just looked up, I am going for sure to North Austin game (when it opens), have you been to the south one? If so, how's the turnout? I imagine pretty decent considering the alternatives here.
a friend is a regular member at the south location. turnouts are pretty good. they're doing pretty well as far as consistency hence the 2nd location being done.
To add, I just read up on it, and it's legal. The owner used to work for the Chairman of the Licensing and Administrative committee for TX, and he knows all the loopholes (hence the no rake/no tipping dealers). The south location opened 2 years ago, and the north spot opening in June is in a shopping center w/ Main Event and Kirby Lane. If it were illegal he'd have been closed long ago since it's out in the open. I looked at the fees and it's pretty reasonable considering the amount I tip on bigger hands... I'll let you know how it is in June
All my CF brehs living in squalor in the boonies please visit this place so they do enough business to warrant opening a location here in civilization.
haha a reason mint poker is pretty far out there is due to some loopholes and doesn't really have much to do with business doing well
Yeah, I'm in RR just off 620 (more like North Austin with some interesting annexing that just occured, property taxes sucked this last go round). So I'm very close to this north one too, I'm excited about trying it considering some of the other places I used to play at both likely legal and some very questionable ... Not sure if you ever tried that Steiner Ranch tourney but that was crazy, regular pots of $6k+, and it occurred right in their community center this was years ago but pretty great. I think that one ended, but was funny, I mean initially the guy offered free beer but I think he had to stop doing that, pretty sure it's been done for years now so really looking forward to this and hoping it's good.
Anyone else playing on America's Cardroom? Keep seeing it mentioned here and there as one of the better online poker places for American players.
Been reading up on America's Cardroom and Ignition. How is it they accept players from Texas when online gambling in Texas is illegal. I'm assuming that means you play at your own discretion?
Looks like a few hoops to jump through, and obviously not quite legal, but looks pretty easy to get money on and off the site.. I'm tempted... still need to try that legal card house in North Austin
Hey, one question I know you're not stateside, but is getting money off of America's Cardroom actually as easy as using bitcoin? What's your experience withdrawing and what type do you prefer, if I didn't use bc? Thanks in advance, maybe I can hand you more chips at the table. I Did okay last weekend at casino but had a shitty run on blackjack, I had to play poker to leave up again.. I really need to stick with poker, but love blackjack...
Awesome, thanks for the info! I'll let you know if I get through the hoops, I used to use Neteller a long time ago, but I want to say I'm limited being stateside.

100bb max buy-in for NLH and PLO cash games is weak. If a guy's sitting at a 2/5 table with $800, I can't match him? Seat rental cost is high as well, especially if you're playing 1/3. I'm sure I'll find my way there regardless.
