Yeah, I'm constantly playing 6-8 tournament tables at a time My biggest cash was on PokerStars a few years back when I cashed for around $13,000 in a $55 tourney This year the best cash was around $4,300 in a $109 tourney.
That's awesome, man!! Yeah, that's one thing I loved the most was playing multiple tables at a time, I really hope they bring it back to the states eventually. What sucked is after the government came in and messed it up, the legit sites left and the ones that were still taking US players did some shady stuff (not paying out, and iirc I think one got caught cheating etc).
Just a cooler obviously, not much Phil could have done there, but pretty cool that Kevin Hart is promoting the game Comedian playing in a $300,000.00 buyin tournament and actually holding his own against the absolute best (Fedor Holz, Doug Polk, Ben Tollerene etc.). He's been very solid.
A new poker room in Houston has opened up. It's membership based and time charge. Check it out at mintpokerclubs.com. I went to play last Saturday. They had 3 full tables of 1/3 NL going for awhile. Games didn't start til about 6:30 though. Great atmosphere. Bright lights. Most of the dealers were good. However, despite what the site says drinks were not complimentary. But it is byob.
Man, I need to get back to playing, this past year didn't play as much as I normally do... Have you still been playing a lot?
I used to play a lot, seeing as I lived and grew up in Vegas, but never high stakes. Would routinely go play at night and get a "free" buzz. I typically won more than I lost and always got hammered. Aahhh the early 20s and I didn't even care if I lost just wanted to drink lol. Being back in Houston for the past 6-7 years, the biggest thing I miss is being able to just go sit at a table and play for hours. Been really itching to go out to Louisiana for a little weekend getaway and see how it goes. For now all I have is the wsop app
a couple of these in austin (not associated with each other but similiar concepts). Looks like it made it's way to houston, although the location is a bit out there. I wonder how this will do
This Mint place is in my neck of the woods so i will check it out. Thankfully a local bar hosts 2 tournaments a night down the street so I wander in a few times a month and usually cash.
Yup! Still grinding. Had a really nice run last week results wise. Took a 1st, 2nd and a 3rd place for a total of ~$12,000.
Yeah, Europe. Got plenty of choices as far as poker rooms go, Pokerstars/Partypoker/888/Winamax etc. I play on America's Cardroom too, since the games with Americans are super soft (no offense).
Check out the place i mentioned in an earlier post, mintpokerclubs.com, located in Webster. You can have a daily membership for $10 plus $5 per half hour seat charge. There is no rake and no tipping dealers allowed.
Yeah, I'm envious too Also, really great run omg, that's some great winnings!! I hope some day I can play online again... I don't even care if it was crazy tax... But still not back in the states. I might have to check this poker room or something similar. Don't get to casinos near enough being in TX.
This looks promising, I wonder if there's anything like this in Austin yet? I regularly goto houston and know of games here in Austin, but would be better if it seemed more legitimate (like this). I'll have to check. How's the turnout? Sorry if I missed earlier reply.
austin already has places like this. texas card house is about to open their 2nd location in north austin. 1st location has been open in south austin for awhile
