Not really. Kanter is addition by subtraction. Kanter is the worst defensive center in the history of the NBA. IF he was even below average defensive, he would play 35 minutes a game because he's so good offensive. Knicks going to give up 120 points if they play more than 20 minutes
Not with the best defensive PF in the game out there in Kristaps. Kristaps/Kanter is PERFECT. (And I am loving number 65 ranked Melo heading to the Thunder to mess up the chemistry) He only had a chance here because CP3 and Beard are unselfish and highly intelligent. Westbrook and Carmelo are going to be so sticky with the ball it's crazy.
I definitely think they helped themselves in this deal. They grabbed a pick and two players I really like next to Kristaps. If their rookie PG is something decent I think they will surprise.
I think Knicks got a good deal too. But I believe their goal is flexibility/assets and getting into the lottery and not so much competing for the playoffs or anything
Thunder just signed Trey Burke, so their bench gets stronger. Still not enough to overcome the Chief Seattle curse.

Horrible way to start the weekend with this news but doesn't surprise me. Morey had his chance. I rather he of went to the Cavs. I can't stand the Westbrook and the Thunder because of him.
I felt like that long ago with the NFL been a joke. Stopped watching and only been watching NBA and MLB. Now thinking about stopping with the NBA too and only watch baseball, been watching hockey lately more too.
This is bad for the NBA , speaking of the lopsided Conferences it's a joke. Another top 25 or 30 player in the West.
Wb Roberson George Melo Adams Is a great lineup . I don't think OKC has anything off the bench though . And melo at PF is going to be an experiment .
Rockets still have a better mix of players than OKC. LOL at anyone who thinks OKC Ball Stoppers are any sort of a real threat in the west.

He isn't a top 25-30 player anymore. He had a VORP of under 1 last year and he has been getting progressively worse the last 3 seasons and then took a big step back last year. Last year was his second worst defensive season in his 14-15 year career. His offensive efficiency continued to fall last year.
