he's less inefficient from the field, but he's a good free throw shooter (so his mid range game will probably come eventually)

If Davis can keep this pace all through the end of the year, there's no reason why he shouldn't be in talks for the MVP.

Bold prediction: I think Davis will be MVP sometime in the next four years.

Like in any sports, new stars emerging, old stars fading. Fans just have to deal with this reality and hope your team win something while your star players are in their prime.

So to confirm, yes I would rather have Davis now (even if he hasn't fully reached his potential) over Dwight Howard.

I'd trade everyone but LeBron and Durant for him.

After the Anthony Davis video...well, this thread title has a whole new meaning to me lol.

(still would take him in our team though. Same way I would take Timmy/Bosh. Same way I wouldn't take JCollins. Because the former three can ball and the last one is not effective anymore.)

We are still waiting for the Spurs stars to fade...

But Davis is a special talent, we always knew that.

A big man who gets high steal and block numbers.. reminds me of Olajuwon. Not saying he's on that level of course, but he is a very good defender.

Lol but being this good at the age of 20? Who would have thought.

Imagine TJones or DMo being half the player he is.

The sky is the limit for this kid. I skimmed through the NO-LAL game and was most impressed by one defensive possession in particular.

3:35 3rd quarter; 63-65 Pelicans; Lakers get a second shot off a Pau tip.

    1) Blake has the ball at the wing, guarded by Jrue.
    2) He dribbles it towards Pau and Davis at the elbow.
    3) Jrue is over aggressive and loses Blake, who then proceed to drive hard down the lane (Davis follows Pau to the low block).
    4) Davis and Jason Smith collapse on Blake to prevent the layup.
    5) Blake jumps and tries to pass the ball to Pau, underneath the arms of the jumping Davis. But Davis tips the ball.
6)Blake recovers the loose ball at the opposite block and is pressured by Jason Smith and Aminu; Pau is now wide open in between the hoop and Davis
    7) Blake delivers a behind-the-back bounce-pass along the baseline to Pau, which gets tipped by Davis as he lunges to the baseline
8)With Davis off-balance underneath the hoop, Pau has the ball with his back to the basket.
9)A split second later, Pau tries a layup, but gets stuffed by Davis who has recovered defensively!!!

    10) The loose ball gets picked up by Eric Gordon, who leads a 3-on-1 fast break with Davis and Aminu. Davis gets the ball at the 3pt line, one dribble later, drives in and gets the foul.

The sequence in question starts at 2:41

I don't know why people started sleeping on Davis. He was considered a lock to be a franchise player when he came out of the draft. He's going to be a top 5 player by the end of next year, if it doesn't happen this year.

I've read a Garnett 2.0 comparison. While I respect KG as a player, I think Davis can become better than him. Like a legit tier 1 superstar, like Magic/MJ/Hakeem/LBJ, his potential is that big.
