Thought this was interesting https://www.google.com/amp/www.espn...-50000-public-trade-demand-agent?platform=amp
Seems quite silly to even have this rule (which I don't agree with) if the "punishment" accomplishes nothing.
Maybe I'm the dumb one but if I'm the Pelicans I would appreciate him telling the trade demand as early as he did instead of fining him for it. The earlier I know the more time I have to field offers from him whereas if Davis waited until next year when they handed him the supermax and he rejected it then they would be caught blindsided and how much assets can you get in a SnT? I don't even buy the Lakers mumbo ju.bo sure Davis is hinting he wants the Lakers but NO doesnt have to trade Davis now lol. They can start fielding offers for him then trade him in the summer. NO is like an ostrich burying their head in the sand and they are fining Davis for being up front with them and breaking their delusions wtf.
50k is too small to teach any lesson, it just enrages AD and removes any good will he has to the franchise.
Is 50k even a full game for AD? Let's see! > Makes $25,434,263.00 this year > Makes $310,173.94 per game (48 minutes) > Makes $6,461.96 per minute > $50,000 is 7.73 minutes.
Did the Pelicans also fine Davis?? I don't understand the thread, and, maybe I missed it, but I can't see in the article where the Pelicans have fined Davis.
Nobody else finds it despicable a current NBA superstar has his best friend/business partner agent pushing other superstars to play with him? Thats about as big a conflict of interest in sports we will ever see
The fine is for him sitting out rockets claiming a sore index finger. How you sit out making all that money!?
