True. I'm not saying I'm right. Just saying what I think. Very well could be wrong, I just don't see him ever being a legit top tier player.
He is overhyped. The problem is that he has no idea how to play winning basketball, and nobody on the bucks seems to either. If Giannis would commit to playing defense (just him) that team would be a .500 basketball team. Every time you see the greak freak he is going coast to coast like James Worthy, but what else does he do? Judging by their record not much. There is no excuse for that team to every not be top 10 defensively, but they ain't even close to that. Just to reinforce my point in 2014-2015 when they had Larry Sanders and Henson playing significant minutes, they were 4th defensively and they were a 41-41 team.
Another reason to LOL at the Mavericks since this is nearly an identical contract to the one Harrison Barnes signed. Giannis is still figuring out how to play in this league and he's already way better than Barnes ever will be. One has massive upside. One is a finished product.
Giannis is probably the smoothest player since Wade. Top 5 player in the league potential and HOF will follow if potential is fulfilled. You cant deny he has all time great potential, but you also cant deny he has a long LONG way to go.
I remember watching videos of him on clutchfans before anyone even knew about him. The next T-Mac people told me.....
I'm definitely buying on Giannis long-term, but not yet sold on Parker. He really needs to get better from 3 to take his game to the next level. As it stands now, he's a poor man's Melo.
Great post. This is a very good deal for the Bucks, who lock in a potential budding superstar for 4 years with no opt out provision.
I feel like a lot of you claiming that he's over hyped haven't watched him play much. He's 21 w/ KD's body and guard skills.
He's like KD if KD couldn't shoot but was a better playmaker. He kind of reminds me of Lamar Odom in his peak but more athletic. He's what Darius Miles should have been.
