They locked the door and told me to go away . After I rang the doorbell twice everyone went to the back. No answered the door or told me what was going on. This was followed by two police cars pulling up and parking across the street and watching me for 5 minutes ( I assumed they were called by the store ) . I was then approached by 2 officers and questioned about the dealer vehicle I was in which is apart of my endorsement deal with Kunes country Chevrolet and asked me what I wanted amongst other things that were just irrelevant to me being there just trying to shop at the store like a normal paying customer would do . I told them I was just trying to look at a watch. He then had to go in the back and tell them to come out it was safe but this is after they ran my plates and I overheard them talking about doing more of a background check on the car. The employees finally came out of the back and proceeded to conduct business like they previously were as we walked up . This was one of the the most degrading and racially prejudice things I've ever experienced in life and wouldn't wish this on anyone . This store needs to be called out and that's what I'm doing . You have no right to profile someone because of their race and nationality and this incident needs to be brought to light and I urge anyone who ever is thinking of shopping here reads this and doesn't bring any business to this discriminatory place .

A photo posted by @johnhenson31 on Oct 19, 2015 at 11:56am PDT

Every story has two sides. I totally understand the shop workers. Black dude in gangsta outfit parks outside in a dark windows escalade. 9 times out of 10 you're being robbed. I aint getting killed for minimum wage. If it was Canada it would be racial profiling, but in US it's being cautious.

Private businesses have the right to profile whoever they want.

Why should they risk their lives and business because of wanting to remain a PC image?

Instead of constantly victimizing themselves on social media, black Americans need to reach out to other blacks who have created the stereotype. But, the sad truth is, blacks in one socio-economic strata want nothing to do with the poor. They'd rather distance themselves and play the victim card - which is COMPLETELY naive given the state of the country today.

It is still racial profiling. Color, dress, and vehicle (and entourage?) fit stereotypes that triggered the workers. It was being cautious; caution based on a racial profile.

Black people don't have some magical connection to other black people. If a black person has been victimized by racial profiling, it's not just blacks who should be defending them, it's all races. We understand that a HUMAN BEING has been wronged, we need to defend him/her. We are one in the same, white, black, Asian, it doesn't matter.

    We are One.

You can't be serious? So he should blame himself for being racial profiled? Seriously think about it.

Where are you getting the "gangsta outfit" and "dark windows escalade" and "9 times out of 10" from?

Might want to put down the bong and step out of your camper van.

Turn off the sound of constant gaming, step onto a busy sidewalk, and look around.

It's nice to throw out idealistic scenario's online while sitting behind a screen, but that's not how reality works.

That's not how people who have to live in the real world are allowed to see things, because they can't dream all day.

They go by the facts presented in front of them.

The owner of Schwanke is no idiot - he's been in the industry for decades. He knows of similar people with similar businesses. They instruct their employees to act accordingly. And guess what? The profile of jewel store criminals in Milwaukee is a lot different than New York - and they have to go based on that.

Laughable how people dying to feign outrage are running to this thread. You don't want white people to say the n word? Stop using it yourself. Don't want to be profiled? Work on helping the people who ruin your image, don't shoot the messenger!

It's simple, yet small minds always find a way of making something out of nothing.

Doesn't have to blame himself for being naive, but there certainly should be NO blame for people who care about their lives.

Survival instinct is far more important than making a judgment error.

If a lawyer wants to close a deal, he doesn't do it in flip flops and a tank top with his belly falling out. If they kick him out of the office, is he right to say he has nothing to do with street drunks who dress like that?

People are judged based on appearance irrespective of race.
