That’s the thing, access to weapons capable of taking mass life in a short period shouldn’t be a “fundamental right”. Education should be a fundamental right. Health care should be a fundamental right. But they aren’t. If you’re of sound mind and can be screened then by all means own a gun. If you have a mental health disorder or PTSD or crippling depression then you should *not* be allowed to own a gun.
Nations don't have to protect their resources like 100 years ago. That was the main purpose of a border. Nations don't need borders anymore to be individual nations. The economy is global. Resources are plentiful
Uh no. You might want to look into sexual dimorphism. Men and women are not the same. You're buying into the egalitarian myth. Moreover, let's say that you are right. They are not in fact doing those jobs. Then you have to ask why that is.
Steve Kerr and the killer agree totally. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...-post-ex-Marine-PTSD-shot-California-bar.html Sounds like this killer murdered people to try and get gun control enacted. That and PTSD. Do we get to start calling him a leftest extremist? maybe 'the Lib terrorist' ? Am I playing this game right?
I'm sorry, but you misunderstand America. You have the right to own very lethal weapons, even if mentally ill. So too you have the closely tied right to die in a terrifying mass murder event. These inseparable rights are enshrined by the 2nd Amendment. Praise be, pass the ammunition, and Amen.
1- quotes might be misleading... 2- assume it’s not, he recognize he is insane... people often do recognize their mental illness and urges to do something terrible but COULD not stop themselves (which is one reason why mental illness is so devastating). Narrow minded lens to only jump to gun control. The other and likely possiblility among many others possibility is he wanted help for his mental illness but there is none for him. And you are doing it right if you are trying to become the person you hated.
A mass shooting isn't as uniquely American as much as the response being predictably about gun control vs mental health and showing its own collective Avoidant Personality Disorder by not addressing the consequences of a 17 year war that's accomplished none of its stated objectives, made the world significantly less secure, and to paraphrase Malcolm X, is now clearly showing that the proverbial chickens have come home to roost. When 12 Americans die, it's terrorism. When thousands of Afghani civilians die, it's for "patriotism", it's for "jobs,", it's for "freedom", it's for "American interests"...and it rarely makes the news. I'm glad there is a US Marine Corps, and I'm glad they are psycho nut balls ready to rain death on those that would harm my country, but I'd prefer them given better benefits to adjust to civilian life and not coming back in a PTSD-addled state (or in the case of my cousin, in a body bag) from pointless imperialistic adventurism for the benefit of our oligarchical overlords. To be honest, I'm surprised this isn't more common. The guns we should be concerned about controlling are the ones our tax dollars pay for.
It's always so dumb when people rush to report things and then have to back track. Just let the thing play out. I remember during San Bernadino a super hard-core liberal friend of mine on social media was immediately posting about the reports of a white man committing the attack... then it turned out to be an Islamic inspired attack and yea, no further reporting from him. Meanwhile, in real Jihad watch. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2018...ltiple-stabbing-incident-181109070613187.html
I never said men and women are the same. What world do you live in yes women are in fact doing those jobs, not as much as men but there is no physical reason why they cannot do the jobs you listed.
There are few people in America more indifferent to the well-being of American servicemen and servicewomen than Bill Kristol and his fellow travelers for their 30+ years of Viagra-quality hard-on for endless war. I'm ashamed that I ever took him seriously after September 11, 2001. To give him the tiniest shred of credibility just because he doesn't like Trump is at best selective amnesia, and at worst, to give cover to one of the 21st century's most discredited thinkers and most conspicuous of sociopaths.
... What about the poor illegals living in squalor with open sewage and festering disease? What about loopholes for corporations to take advantage of them or them having undetectable records with past violence? If you want to pretend like unaccountability works in any nation state, fine, but all it does is speaks volumes of your lack of intelligence.
America's appeal has always been spreading its its wealth and intelligence. Not holding on to it. If you dont want to bring in other countries negatives then continue to spread out the positives. Help improve nations to the south of us by opening
