I feel like getting my D&D on and I was hoping someone could recommend and Android App that can take me back to the 80's D&D experience. 500 gold pieces, +20 xp, and a holy devastator to anyone that can point me in the right direction. Yes I'm bored.
I use to watch my older brother play a little bit. Then it hit me...shouldn't I be outside playing basketball. James Harden is loaded with dexterity! Does that sound about right?
I don't think my local DND's like me attacking my own party members, so I only played once when I was about 12. Though I liked the idea of it. Creating Dungeons and stuff. I was too outside the box I think. So went back to sports. I did however like the intellivision dungeon and dragons a lot. And i did watch the cartoon. Good times.
I must have been in 6th grade when I played it. It was fun. The dice were bad ass. If this ever develops, I'll dl and play. http://www.androidcentral.com/new-dungeons-dragons-game-works-mobile
I'm a huge D&D fan. I would play today if I could fit it into my schedule and find a group. I've played off and on as recently as about 3 years ago. I haven't found any app that really captures the experience in any way similar. I will say that there are some apps that have the dice, DM's tools and a kind of 4e character creator. But all of that would have to be used with others in a game. In order to fill my role playing game need, I've been setting up some Boot Hill scenarios and rolling those out. I know there are some ways to play online with a group, but nothing I've found that really works for just one person. In grades 6-9 I somehow managed to play a lot as well as play outside, and be active in sports and stuff. Time moved a lot slower back then and I guess I wasn't as hard core as some gamers. But I did really enjoy it.
They did re-print all the old edition books, and I think those are the only ones that you can get in the PDF format (at least legally).
