I don't think it was a gamble on Anderson. It was a combination of the weird FA market at that time and Morey's realization of the importance of a floor spacer for Harden's effectiveness.

Anderson is doing what he has always been doing. It's you fans who based your expectation on the size of his contract rather than his actually abilities.

He contributes nothing... He should not be a starting 4. You guys may think I'm joking but I believe Joe Chee should be starting. He has good fundamentals on defense, height, and can hit the the three with more exposure.

Honestly, he needs to quit being such a coward.

We won’t win a title with Ryno on this team.

With Moute, CP3 and Capela out Anderson can't just "hang around" and give one of those 4pts 2rbs type games. Christ he had a 3 game stretch where he only scored 2pts TOTAL. Unacceptable. Especially with the injuries.

He damn well better be getting 10+pts and 6+rbs PER GAME. That is a lousy threshold for a 18+M a year player so that is saying something.

He's got great size and some heft to go along with it. Probably top 20 biggest players is this New NBA. I don't get why he's scared when he's so damn big.

Depends how tired he might be. I really hope we get to the point where serviceable vets are willing to sign on to Houston for nothing in order to win a championship. If any player goes down the remaining players are stacked on with a gazillion more minutes.

He averaged 16 pts on a team where he was the only spacer but dropped to 12 pts when he went on a system that encouraged shooting and a genius playmaker in Harden. If Anderson did what he has always been doing then he would be scoring more than 16 pts a game right now once you account for the system and Harden. This is what you Anderson fanboys seem to be missing.

With Ryan it’s a over thinking game. Notice every time he plays well his shot is usually in one rhythm but when he struggles he always hesitant and does a fake one dribble to his right followed by a brick. Generally when he just lets it fly straight away it’s money.

Even under the bucket he does way to many pump fakes

They need to get rid of contracts period. They should play for their money.

First, I am not Anderson fanboy. I am just thinking people like you who unreasonably blame a player's contract on the player and not the management. Any reasonable person knows that is absurd but you keep refusing to admit.

Second, Anderson is shooting like he always does. In fact, he is shooting a higher percentage than he was in NOLA. He scores less because we have a lot more offensive options than they did. That is exactly what you should expect a role player would do on a more talented offensive team.
