So if we traded away Gordon, Anderson, picks, etc for LeBron we would be at like $119 million. That wouldn't Hard Cap us?
When will people learn that unless "the source" is Lebron himself, it's meaningless? Secondary sources have been proven worthless time and time again.
Just sign with LA so we can ensure you never get to the finals again. He put himself in a bad position, if I was him I'd just go back to Cleveland or go to the Sixers. Options are slim. Unless he takes that paycut to win a ring.
Caphold was probably the wrong terminology to invoke there. I believe their cap figures would be $1.47 mill each for all cap calculations due to their years of service being greater than 3. Same for Melo in your proposal above.
I see, green and LMM are both 10+ years in the league so they're minimum is $2.4m. Green was already signed for the min by us for $2.4m.
The Luxury Tax is 123. If we are under 123 and make the sign and trade my assumption is that we would not be hard capped because we would have made the trade still under the 123 tax and end up under 123 after getting LeBron. We are currently at like $117 million. Cap Holds do not count against Luxury Tax from what I have read. So Clint, Tarik Black, Joe Johnson, Luc would not count towards Tax
