"Sign-and-trade contracts must be for at least three seasons (not including any option year)"

What I missed was that the last two years can be non-guaranteed, which essentially makes it like a one year deal, so that does make this doable. But it's not "so inaccurate its funny". And I understand how bird rights work. Thanks.

We should have gone after Grant and Noel. Iggy and Chandler? Oh man, please.

IDK if Iggy at this age is worth a 1st unless it's heavily protected.

There has got to be better vet min players out there other than Chandler right? Isn't Noah available?

    https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2019/07/iguodala-drawing-interest-from-rockets-clippers-mavs.html

After acquiring Russell Westbrook from Oklahoma City, the Rockets‘ top priority will be to find a way to land veteran forward Andre Iguodala, writes Sam Amick of The Athletic.

According to Amick, Houston continues to push to acquire Iguodala from the Grizzlies via trade. The Clippers are also known to be among the most serious suitors for the former Warrior, Amick adds.

In order to match Iguodala’s $17,185,185 salary, the Rockets or Clippers would have to send out at least $12,185,185 in salary of their own, which will be difficult, but not impossible.

Los Angeles could use Maurice Harkless‘ $11,511,234 expiring contract, but would have to include at least one more piece (likely either Jerome Robinson or one of their 2019 draftees), and can’t aggregate Harkless’ salary in any deal until September 6 after acquiring him last Saturday.

The Rockets, meanwhile, probably wouldn’t want to move Clint Capela, P.J. Tucker, or Eric Gordon for Iguodala, so a sign-and-trade involving Iman Shumpert could be their most viable path for matching salaries. Shumpert would have to sign a three-year contract in that scenario, but only the first year would need to be fully guaranteed. He could sign for exactly $12,185,185, and presumably he’d be open to the idea, since he won’t receive that kind of money from any other team as a free agent.

Yep, should've had Grant as a part of the Wesbtrook trade, i wonder if we could've get him without even adding another 1st but just 2nd/s and cash or a young player...

I would rather move him for someone else. Covington would be ideal, if the T-Puppies want to deal, and they do, if the rumors are true. We have an issue, though. Our 1st round picks are no longer an abundant resource to add to a deal, if needed.

Rockets are going to really good I’m not a Russ guy but I do think this will work.

Plus I think Harden will off ball more since Russ can actually beat his man off the dribble and create for himself and others.
