Not as far as we would with Lin as our PG.

Josh Smith's potential could double once combined with howard and harden

This deserves its own thread. If we get Dwight, expect a whirlwind of Lin/Asik for Smoove deal.

Not too enthusiastic about trading Lin (I think he will improve a lot next year), but Smoove would complete a big 4. Yes, I said 4.

    Harden
    Dwight
    Smoove
    Parsons

Impossible. Daryl Morey already said on the radio that he hasn't shopped Lin or Asik at all.

    /sarcasm.

Morey knows we dont need Lin for our "China Connection " thanks to Yao we have a long lasting marketing bridge to China. See ya Lin and Asik.

You're not being a little too emotional about the Deek's criticism at all

    About the Smith+Dwight signing:

If you want to do regular signings of both guys, then you'd most likely need to trade away both Lin and Asik for little salary in return.

If you can convince Atlanta to do a S&T, however, you can probably just trade away one of them plus a couple smaller salaries (White, DMo, Jones).

Which way is preferable depends on what other teams would offer for Asik or Lin, either separately or together and, of course, whether Atlanta is amenable to a S&T.

Anyhow, smart for Morey to at least explore his options.

Yeah, it's very possible that Morey is looking for a Lin for cap space trade on the pretty reasonable chance that the Hawks aren't interested in an Asik S&T. Maybe they would rather tank for 2014, which a Horford/Asik frontline would prevent.

If Harden committed himself to the Defensive end, I don't see how that team would not be a top 5 defense.
