Is this a new attitude from Dwight wrt following Harden's lead? Either he should have been doing this the whole season, it's a new revelation, or yet another fluff quote from Howard to say what ppl want to hear.

Adjusting to Harden means playing the PNR, Dwert.

Good to see the leaders of this team and the cornerstones on the same page.

However, actions speak LOUDER than words.

Back that up on the court Dwight. Stick to playing P n R on offense and setting solid screens. No or little post ups. On defense, rebound the heck out the ball, block shots etc. Do whatever made you 3 time DPOY on D

I hear empty words from dwight until I can see he can adjust to just being a rebounder and defender. Early on in the year he also said the team needs to play with more effort and go the extra mile, starting with him. Yet there were so many effort lapses that I saw from him after the quote.

If he does come back and is the ultimate rebounder and defender with some of that old explosiveness he once had, holy cow, the NBA better be on the lookout behind a bomb shelter.

I believe some lapse from Dwight's part was due to him playing with soreness.

Besides defense from Dwight, Harden's PnR with him is lethal. Facing smaller centers, Dwight's occasional post-ups won't hurt either. Dwight is really bad when posting against big centers like Marc Gasol.

Of course he'll be involved with the offense. But in a different capacity. The postups need to be limited depending on the matchups. Far too often, they result in trips to the foul line and missed free throws or turnovers. I'd much rather see Dwight in PnR plays.

Can we give Morey some credit for bringing in some vet leadership.

Thats what they want him to do, buy into his Ben Wallace role. Doesnt make sense to me because he is a beast come playoffs but if thats the excuse Harden has, then we shall see.

Getting rid of Parsons (a diva) and to a greater extent Lin (low IQ, mental midget, freezes under pressure) and bringing in veteran leaders like Ariza and JET were good moves by Morey this summer.

Looks like Harden is the cook and Dwight is prepared to be the waiter. Rest are the clean up folks and janitors.

They did. Check the rankings. He needs to value chemistry and point guards to rank higher. Look at the spurs, they havent made any desperate moves despite their age. They believe in something

Scoring punch is not going to be a problem with this team. At this point, I even think that D-Mo needs to be getting more touches in the post than Dwight. Our playoff success is going to hinge on defense, rebounding, and not turning over the ball. All those things are going to play to his strengths. Slowing down the offense to force feed him is not necessary.

Hell, we've had a lot of success with Dorsey playing that same role and he is nowhere near the player Howard is.

Spurs also have a proven team that has 5 championships

we don't have that kind of chemistry to value
