Interesting article that brings up some very good points. Although I always felt that whichever team made the playoffs between Phoenix and Houston, then the ROY advantage would go to that particular rookie.

I agree wholeheartedly with that article. There is nothing there that would indicate to me that Stoudemire was a clear-cut ROY. If anything it should have at the least been a Co-ROY. Obviously, highlights are a very important part for the voters. Interesting point made there about last years award where Battier did not get any votes for ROY but got 2nd most votes for Rooke 1st team, which is voted by coaches. Undoubtedly, if coaches were to vote for ROY, Yao Ming would have probably won the award, but that is not the case.
I am just glad all this hoopla is finally over and Yao Ming can get some well-deserved rest in off-season and start to work-out and develop for next year. We should feel fortunate that we got the best player in the draft last year, as the Rockets should not even have had the privilege to have drafted that high. In the end ROY award is meaningless, and i am certain that Ming hasnt been real bothered with the outcome of this years result.

Get some rest Ming, and come out strong next year......

The difference was Ming faded with the Rockets at the end of the season.

Either way Pau was/is better than both:D
