That is a little melodramatic. He should write Friday Night Lights: Wisconsin.

I thought it was great, actually. Strong message that carries over to life as well.

I really enjoyed it. And it definitively answers the question of whether or not he is going to let his injuries possibly dictate the next phase of his career.

I know I'm in the minority here but this guy, amazing player that he is, sucks.

Maybe i'm confused as to what the ending means...but is he implying he's going to come back and play at a top level again?

I don't feel like i learned anything.reading it...isn't this the way JJ has always been and thought?

That's how the Players Tribune works. Its players explaining approach to the game direct from the source, and straight up melodramatic player storytelling.

Its obviously important that Watt keeps his youthful joy to keep "stoked" in what he does. Its either the most super genuine thing, or comes off super hokey annoying. But who wouldn't like to carry on the "good old times" into their adult life?

And fan pleaser aside, ultimately its just himself that he has to constantly motivate and self-start . I don't have a problem with Watt on this.

You know something is awful when it could have come word-for-word from The Onion and been awesome if there.

I don't see a problem with what he wrote. It has to be hard to just stop doing what he's been doing since he was a little kid. Good for him that he was able to regain a little perspective and a better understanding that he's going to have to do things a little differently if he wants to have a long career.

Watt is done making commercials for HEB for awhile. Looks like our favorite quarterback and nose tackle is taking his place.
