I just have to put this out there, for YEARS I always see a headline that says something like "Houston making a comeback" and I think it has to do with us, and its always Allan Houston, now with him about to become GM of the Knicks it will probably continue.

Has anyone else been tricked by Allan Houston headlines?

Yes, it happened to me, the other day "Houston frontrunner in....." caught my eye and I thought it would end with CHRIS PAUL RACE! But, sadly it was "Houston frontrunner in knicks GM race"

I don't know if Allan Houston has had to put with the "Houston we have a problem.." headlines.

I thought the Knicks were about to hire the city to be their GM.

I bet when he suffered that big injury there were at least a few headlines with a version of that...

Well, since they gave us the Central Park in the McGrady deal, it's not too far-fetched to assume that they would let the city of Houston manage their team.

    It's a bit annoying.

Imagine Los Angeles front runner in...or Cleveland is making a come back...

I've done this a ton of times... especially with the ESPN ticker. I almost had a heart attack the other day though when I saw the headline a few of you guys are referring to.

"Houston favorite for Knicks GM job."

For a second, my eyes fooled me and I thought I had read:

"Houston GM favorite for Knicks GM job."

I could see a future NYT headline like
"GM Houston: 'We have a problem'
Knicks draw #2 spot in 2011 Draft, lose #2 spot in 2011 Draft"

Kind of off topic: Is it just me or did anyone else got confused by headlines with "New Jersey" when they meant new jersey design of a team?

Houston was trying to recruit LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. Those headlines could've had me fooled lol.

    Houston signs CP3 and Carmelo.

That kind of headline could be misleading a lot!

Haha, this makes me both excited and depressed at the same time. I'd be happy if either just signed to our team.

From now on, i'm going to feel like clicking on any Houston link will be like playing a shell game.
