Alessandro Gentile asked the Rockets for an invite for next training camp, according to La Prealpina.

Gentile was supposed to join the Rockets Summer League team in Las Vegas but he suffered a thumb injury and underwent surgery.

The Italian forward will return in mid-august from the injury and would love to have a chance in the NBA.

Gentile’s goal is to sign a contract with the Rockets, even a two-way deal, and he won’t consider any offer neither from Italy nor from Europe till the NBA training camp.

The Rockets selected Alessandro Gentile in the second round of 2014 NBA Draft.

Book him on the Bahama trip, and let him get some time with the boys. Let the players scout him first.

    Reposting from the other thread:

A two-way deal is the best possible outcome for him right now, but at this point i don't know if there's anything good to expect from him, it's like he already gave his best and that's not exactly great news considering his age.

Anyway, the disappointment and criticism towards him reached a point where he might as well come in the nba just to play all the season in the d-league just like Hartenstein did, maybe a big change of enviroment can somehow wake him up, wouldn't hold my breath at this point though.

If he is close to a Danillo Gallinari type, Mike will give him opportunities as a Stretch Forward.

Scoring is not his problem, it's his lack of D.

Sure, get Gentile to camp or the two way. Any way the Rockets can "restock the crops" with cheap assets and add youth they should do that.

he has a broken body and also a broken soul. I feel bad for him because he seems like a nice guy.

He's WANTED to come to the NBA.

Not a shooter, not a defender, not an NBA player.

You need to add 2 poll options.
    1. I don't ****ing know because I've never seen him play in my life
    2. Hell yes, I've never seen him play in my life, but I'm going to pretend like I know something even though I don't

I would imagine a two way contract is pretty low salary wise. Bring him to camp and see what he can do
