he offers someone that won't get pissy coming off the bench. we're doing fine with no asik right now. also not sure why everybody is assuming the varejao deal is the one we'll go with. clearly there are other options. the way DA worded it, it seems like there are other leading candidates but this one has a chance

I think Varejao is pure speculation from DA.

Why Wednesday or Thursday? That seems kind of random. Sunday is the first day players that were acquired in the summer can be traded, and Thursday is the last day a player can be acquired and still be eligible to be traded again this year...why wait til the last minute?

I remember Varejao being a great pick-and-roll defender. Don't remember last time he was healthy, though.

So, trade Asik to CLE for Varejao, cleveland's 2014 pick and Sacramento's pick, then trade Varejao to Boston for KHump and one of the Net's picks.

I could potentially be on-board with this.

Use this Portland game for example: there are moments where Dwight and TJ are getting badly outhustled.

Varejao is all energy and his contract fits the bill.

Varejao and Waiters would be sick.

Waiters as a nice offense player off the bench.

Varejao was actually one of the players I was thinking about. If only because he can be a backup center. But overall it would depend on what else we get back. A lottery protected first(lose the protection next year) would be my choice. Not sure we get back that much though.

I like Waiters from the bench, and give more rest to Harden. We really need a SG to play in the 2nd unit, we are really bad from the bench if the 3pts don't fall

Tonights gamed showed us exactly why we need to keep asik. Our starters outplayed the blazers starters imo. Once our starters sat in the fourth we blew our lead in 2 minutes!!! We couldn't give dwight a break at all!

Asik for Varejao and Waiters smells like a typical Morey trade
