I would definitely be happy with Lance on the team. He is a bit undersized for a 3 but he is strong enough and tough enough to play the 3 thats for sure.
i mean, obviously deng, then ariza, then tucker, no to marion/mike miller/pierce deng and ariza won't settle for the MLE. might have to go with tucker who is a great reabounder (better than bosh) and defender.
And them every time we play the Mavs tell him his job is to get into Chandler Parsons grill and make him regret leaving the Rockets.
deng wants close to parsons money. tucker is restricted, while the suns have cap room to sign both lebron and melo. ariza would be a funny get. fans were up in arms over his mle contract the first time around.
deng-28 with a lot of mileage and some injury history. thibs ran him into the ground. ariza- known to get a big contract and coast. funny how his best year this last season came in a contract season. he can't create his own shot. most of his offense was catch and shoot from john wall. tucker- headcase. one decent year isn't a guarantee he'll be any good when he gets here. just resign parsons. it's not our money to spend anyways. keep a core of harden parsons bosh howard for the next 3/4 years and fill the roster out as necessary and we'll always be in contention.
We need an athletic perimeter defender that can hit the 3 and play in transition. Tucker fits that bill. If we could somehow keep Parsons AND sign Tucker I think this team could not only get past the Blazers but possibly get to the finals.
Tucker is an absolute wildcard. Also he's a RFA. Phoenix has more cap than they know what to do with. They're keeping pj Tucker. We need to do whatever it takes to get bosh then match Parsons. Period.
I know most of these names aren't sexy, but Jared Dudley, Wilson Chandler, PJ Tucker, Deng, Gallinari, Thaddeus Young, Pierce, or some others that Morey can find would be a good replacement, considering that we can upgrade our roster at many other spots.
What's the status of Papadeaux or Papasito or whatever the name is of the Greek dude we got in the Thomas Robinson deal? Any chance he comes over and gets some minutes as part of a replacement for Parsons if they let him walk?
I would like the Rockets to sign someone for 2 years, max. Kind of like how Atlanta signed Millsap to a short term deal last of season. This way the dream of #Durant2Houston is still in play. If it's Deng, I would gladly give him 15 pm/year for 2 years. S&T for Bosh (if he comes) then sign Deng plus some filler Beverely - Harden - Deng - Bosh - Howard is better than with Parsons, anyway as Deng is the better defender.
