Awarded in May, but I couldn't find a post about it. Sorry if already posted. Most agree this is the Highest award in the US for each region.

Game changer for Best Chef awards?

That place is walking distance from my house, but I've never bothered going there because of the lines.

    Maybe one day...

Awesome stuff, Ronnie Killen is right on his tail too. Golden age of Texas BBQ?

Nice. But I actually thought this was a big beard contest with James Harden on the award namesake. This is cool too though

Never been to Killen's. If I were to go this Saturday, party of 2 for lunch, what time should I get there? And about how long would the wait be?

You'll want beef ribs. 40 minutes tops - probably 15-20 though.

You have to get to Home Depot off 35 at like 7am and hire someone to stand in line for you.

Dude just take a cooler full of beer and a comfy chair, you'll have a fine time. The food is unreal. I hate waiting in lines but we drove two hours up there, waited in line for two hours, and it was worth it.

That's what I'm saying. No one wants to wait with me, so I'm about to just go by myself.

Place a take-out order of at least 5lbs a month in advance?

Yeah, I will wait with you, bro. I've never had it, only in dreams. Set aside our differences and eat unbelievable BBQ as 99'ers. Noble Pig goes hard too, we'll eat that in line while we wait.

When? If I don't have anything going on I'm down for some Franklin BBQ. Been meaning to go back to but didn't want to wait alone.
