AB unleashed! I will enjoy rooting for him on the Nuggets (as long as they are not playing the Rockets).

    Aaron Brooks 27:49, 7-11, 17 points, -17. Loss.

So happy for him, getting so much PT. I think the announcers said something like he may even become a starter for the Nuggets.

I think AB is much better than Lin, offense or play making.

Maybe - Lin is a better defender - but AB is a much better shooter....honestly they are probably about equal - my guess is that AB signed here expecting them to trade Lin and once the Rockets could not do that, they traded AB to give him time to show his game for free agency.

I wonder how much of the trade was AB and how much was the FO. Jordan Hamilton is a fine young player/asset, but Denver is honestly the best possible solution for an offensive PG looking for a new contract.

Either way, kudos to Morey and good luck to AB

I always felt sorry for Aaron. Of course he is getting paid millions to play basketball but he never really got his pay day like his peers.

When he had his best season, he was still on his rookie deal. That season he looked poised to become a borderline all star type point guard and looked to be paid handsomely when the time came. That offseason he sees his back up, Lowry, get his pay day. And the next season he has that injury that ruined everything for his career. In his contract offseason, the lock out happens and he plays for China then became the journeyman he is today.

He pretty much had the worst luck sing he went from being a young star point guard to role playing bench warmer in a matter of months while never getting paid. Bad luck Aaron.

I hope he dos well in Denver and finally gets a good contract. 4million/year? Then when it's all said and done has one more go around with Houston and gets a championship.

AB's biggest mistake may have been that contract with the Chinese team. It didn't include an out so he could play in the NBA after the lockout ended. Terrible decision by Aaron.

bit of butterfly effect but its crazy to think if they pass off to someone else, someone else takes that halfcourt heave, we may never have realized the potential of Lowry, acquired Dragic, all that. weird.

Met AB a few times at the Galleria. Laid back guy. Dude has 3 daughters and a wife. His hands are FULL!!!

Best wishes going forward on and off the court.

I don't think so. That was probably a great experience and incredibly fun and lucrative for AB.

Not really. It was a blessing for him to even be drafted at all let alone where we took him. He's living the dream.

What? He would have been picked in the 1st round regardless. Dude was a stud at Oregon and along with Yao led us to our first playoff series win in over a decade. He was playing amazing ball and we were the ones lucky enough to snag both him and Landry.

Of course he is living the dream! But I just feel for him because he was on track to becoming a very good starting point guard for years to come then has the injury that ruined that for him. And now he is just a back up point if anything.

Its hard not feel bad for him and thankful he kept choosing us when he could have signed somewhere else for more money and playing time.

yeah, he was a stud at Oregon. iirc, he was drafted 26th and everybody was shocked he was taken that high. he was definitely no lock to go in the first round. he was way too undersized to be a lock. give credit to morey and his evaluating skills for his first pick.

People thought he was a 2nd rounder. EVERYONE was like "who?" when we made the pick. Looking back now, it was a great pick, but at the time, there were plenty of doubters.
