https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/universal-scraps-hunt-release-gun-violence-uproar-1230716 Why in the hell would Hollywood think it’s a great idea to make a movie about liberals shooting (conservatives) “deplorables” is beyond me. I guess to promote the idea that the U.S. can no longer exist in a two party system is my only guess and violence is the answer? Wow...anyway I think it hit them that maybe this was a bad idea lmao
Liberals hunting down conservatives? Talk about unbelievable fiction. I got my money on a conservative with nothing more than a rock.
But is it racist? This is the only important question right now. Trump called Hollywood racist and used this movie as the example. Is it racist? Trump says it’s racist and he is the least racist. I am not racist, not a Trump voter. But I do enjoy a robust economy. Jobs.
The movie is not Liberals and it's essentially a remake that has been done several times. The most dangerous game. Surviving the game. That's just 2 of the top of my head.
Smart. It will make more money now. I dont watch many movies but i recall a movie a few years ago that was banned or something that ended up being successful. I am sure this is already trending.
Sometimes it works out well and sometimes it doesn't. See Boondock Saints and Columbine. This seems a lot like that situation. Bet it goes direct to Netflix in six months.
here is the trailer kind of violent Spoiler other than the been there done that vibe. it does not seem any worse than any other movie.
I vaguely remember reading that in school. Which makes me wonder if it's still standard reading in school. See an article on Google about a Colorado mom in 2012 trying to get it out of the curriculum.
It was actually a radio play 3 or 4 times in there as well. Obviously this not directly the same as the book as it involves a shipwreck and s sinister Russian general. Here's Orson Wells doing it in 1943: After reflection, I'm kind of glad that people are still upset enough by mass shootings to want to do more than the infamous "Thoughts and Prayers". I was afraid that they'd just become part of the background noise of American culture.
It doesn't look any more disgusting than The Hunger Games. I like how Universal tries to make out like it's not a tawdry indulgence in violence by calling it a satirical social thriller.
