I don't think mainlanders understand that nobody in the world supports their government but them. Do they expect sympathy for their arcadian systems and debt-trap land grabbing BS? Screw China and screw Joe Tsai for sucking up for that China money.

I can’t speak for everyone but what hurt me more was the attitude of the Rockets fans towards China. Honestly I thought Yao built a bridge of friendship between us. We treated y’all like family. And then this happens and everyone calls us commies. As far as how it can be solved....Idk man. Again speaking from my personal experience, idk if I’ll ever be able to love the Rockets like I used to. It’s not a threat. In fact I demand nothing. And I know most of you guys can’t wait to kick me out the door. But I’m just speaking from the bottom of my heart. I’m sure the Chinese people will speak from theirs too. What would definitely help is if local Houstonian fans speak up and show some hospitality and understanding of the cultural difference between us, and an understanding of why this was not an overreaction from us. but you and I both know that’s unlikely, right?

He said he was made aware of different perspectives, that's as much of an apology as you can. Not a lot of Americans were happy with it either. And that should say enough. Errrr...might want to hold off on that, you should especially check the reddit thread where Morey is gives his statement. Its at the very least polarizing. No it's not a formal apology but he made as much of concession as he could(I dont believe he had to though, i dont like it). I dont see a lot of people here saying they hate Chinese Rockets(or people) fans to be fair. Most of it is directed towards the government. For the most part it would be all love between us Rockets fans. We may disagree on Hong Kong/China, alot of us here supporting Morey are also made up of people with different political beliefs and that's fine. Morey spoke up for something he thought was right, and then deleted and made a statement about the situation. I know you guys are hurt and its not your fault, but we arent the ones escalating the issues here. If no one had even made a big deal about this tweet, we wouldn be talking about basketball right now. But no, there is no letting go here by the CCP.
