The bullpen, once there is 1 change, for good or bad, it makes it very different.
Right now they have one guy that is injured, Wade Davis. Major part of that bullpen, and it showed last night, allowing 2 runs. Holland, this year has been awful, with a 1.40 plus whip, ouch, and lefties hitting over .275 and an OPS over the .850's. A lot of walks.
The 3 relievers doing a great job are Franklin Morales, Herrera and Davis. If Davis is injured, then that bullpen will struggle big time.

Right now i take Gregerson over Holland, i don't think he is healthy (he was on DL before, Davis was the closer and did great there).

Maybe pitching so much last year is hurting Davis and Holland????

Let me guess, KC won't even have the balls to throw inside at Fat Albert's head like they did to Altuve and Springer. Seriously, what a bunch of ****heads.

There are 40.65 square Altuves of glass on the west wall of the MMP roof.

Angels lose, but Astros don't win, so we only get to knock off one magic number.

How fitting is it that on the night they celebrate the '05 NL Champ team that Roy Oswalt's #44 is honored here!

    ^good call

Roy is the best Stros pitcher in my viewing career (circa 1992).
Clemens' peak was better, but Roy was more clutch and played much longer with HOU.

    IMO since '92

    1) Roy
    2) Clemens
    3) Big Unit
    4) Wagner
    5) Hampton
    6) Keuchel
    7) Lidge
    8) Reynolds
    9) Pettitte
    10) Lima

Drabek and Swindell were huge disapointments
    McCullers is highly noticeable

Obviously a short period of time

But the Unit was totally dominant here

My era goes a little deeper, so my top two are Mike Scott and Roy

    Scott was filthy

Let's get another double dipper today

Given we have (6) more games vs the Rangers, and the fact that they are only (4) games back and we have played very poorly against them this year, is becoming worrisome.

In terms of record, in the A.L., there seems to be three tiers.

    1st tier
    K.C.-------71-46

    2nd tier
    Yankees---64-52
    Blue-Jays-65-54
    Astros-----64-54

    3rd tier
    5 teams within 4 games of .500

With 6 weeks of baseball left, things could change. But as of right now, four teams have the best shot to take the A.L with one (K.C.) having a clear advantage on the rest.

While the Royals are clearly the best team in the AL right now, I'd say in terms of who has the best shot to win the pennant, it would have to be Toronto. That's the team nobody wants to face in the playoffs right now.
