in case this was a serious question.. ron's repping queensbridge(NY) where he grew up.. 9 is for q... 6 is for b.. as for the "69" reference....
does it really matter what number he wears? by the way 96 is a great number to wear. I'd rather have Artest wear the number 111 but obv no one has triple digits numbers. 96 is a great number for Artest! and who said artest has to resemble rodman?!
uuuuhhhhh......I'm going out on a limb here but I am going with "because 96 is not the same number as 69"?
wow... how old are you again? 69 represents a sex position (to a pervert) while Ron's 96 is representing queen's bridge... means more than just numbers to him.
The League used to not let anyone wear a number over 55 because the refs only have 5 fingers on each hand to signal which player had been called for a foul. This was excused sometime in the 90s from the NBA, but still holds true for in scholastic play. I believe it may have changed when good natured Shawn Bradley wanted to wear #76 because he was 7 foot 6 and played for the 76ers and the league thought that would be cool. This in turn opened up the floodgates of hell and Dennis Rodman demanded he be allowed to wear whatever number he chose, opting for 91 in Chicago.
