Watson is on pace right now for 4650 yards passing in a 16 game season which is very close to the 5000 milestone which only 5 quarterbacks has done (Brees done it a crazy 5 times and Marino, Stafford, Brady and Manning with only 1 a piece)

My question is considering this is very rare and considering only Brees has done this more than once would this be a meaningful accomplishment regardless of the season results?

I know he has to stay healthy but I didn't realize this achievement was as rare as it was tbh.

None of it really means anything if you’re not putting up wins. I want to be excited about our players but this **** is hard to watch.

It wasn't that long ago that 4000 yards was the benchmark for a quality QB, if Watson pulls off more than 4500 yards then it'll be amazing.....but it'll make the fact that the team is being held back by BOB be that much more tragic.

Well now we got something to cheer for. It’s going to be an up hill battle with our offensive guru O’Brien’s
    Rush, Rush, pass, punt scheme.

    I believe in Watson!

Yes it's meaningful. That said qb stats are a bit inflated these years

I'd rather see 36 TD's and 2000 yards any day.

Helluva accomplishment if he achieves it. I think he gets 33 tds and 4600 yds. Let’s go DW4!!!

That’d be an amazing accomplishment in just his second season.

If he reaches, it just means that the texans were getting blown and he got a lot of garbage yards when the other team defense didn't care anymore

Root for stats for Deshaun, JJ, DeAndre, Will Fuller, and your fantasy team. Root for L’s for high draft picks next year. This team ain’t winning the Super Bowl this year so why act like an idiot fan and hope for mediocrity. Slingshot your way to a title. Lose now to win later. Also to kick the McNairs and O’Briens out of town!

So in other words no matter what he does you will find a negative angle. Gotcha

I hate to say it but out of spite towards OBrien, I hope we lose every damn game this season so it would put heat to get his ass out of town and we get a coach that can improve the playcalling , knows how to adjust faster and knows how to time clock manage ...I still want Watson to shine but I don’t want the season to spoil what could potentially still be a good to great year for him overall

it doesn't really matter. a lot of it thus far is inflated yards because they've been trailing in games so they're forced to throw to try and get back into the game. Still winless so, essentially empty stats atm and meaningless except for fantasy purposes

It's meaningful, but he needs to limit his INTs.

I believe the season is over as far as winning, thus, hopefully O'Brien is over too.

There might be like 4 QB's that do it this year.
